The VA or Veteran's Affairs offers an Improved Pension with an Aid and Attendance (A&A) benefit that is widely unknown. Part of the Improved Pension program, the A&A benefit is available to any war-time veterans with at least 90 days of active duty, 1 day beginning or ending during a period of war, and their spouses. Should you and/or your spouse require the aid of another person in order to perform personal functions required in everyday living, such as bathing, feeding, dressing, attending to the wants of nature, adjusting prosthetic devices, or protecting himself/herself from the hazards of his/her daily environment, the A&A benefit may be available to you.
